This week we wrapped up our non-fiction reading and writing units. The Fox Kits have learned so much about learning by reading non-fiction books, reading aloud like experts, and writing facts to teach others about topics that interest them. On Friday we shared all of this with some kindergarten classes, reading them the books we wrote!
First grade also led the All School Meeting. It was fun to be part of the action. Our class dumped hearts into the heart monitor on Tuesday and had our celebration on Friday: crafts and a movie!
There was also a fun whole school celebration, Wacky Wednesday. Our class looked fantastic in red!
We had an assembly to learn about the Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser. The event will take place on March 11th. If your child raised money to support the cause please send the envelope back in, or submit donations online, on that day.
In math we continued to practice measuring accurately with inch tiles, comparing lengths of items, and putting items in order from shortest to longest.
Hopefully this vacation will give everyone a chance to get healthy and start back strong in March! Be well, drink plenty of water, and rest up!

- March 23 - field trip to the Flynn Theater to see "The Snowy Day!"
